He also throws a curveball, changeup and is developing a slider, giving him a starter’s repertoire that could ticket him for the midweek starter role. Was hurt and only was in 6 games.
12. (382)-Brett Zawacki-RHP-La Salle-Peru Township, IL-6’1-7th rated prospect in Illinois by BA. Committed to Arizona St. Zawacki, a pitcher who has hit the radar gun at 92 miles per hour. His HS coach Sarver said scouts from seven big league clubs have called to run standard background checks on Zawacki in anticipation of the June amateur draft. Zawacki had previously orally committed to Illinois State, but was overwhelmed by the offer to play for the high-profile Sun Devils.

Austin University-5’11-became SFA’s second-consecutive baseball All-American as he was one of 17 collegiate baseball players named to the Louisville Slugger All-American first-team. Of the 11 position players on the first-team, Hill led with 73 RBI and struck out the least with only 24 Ks. His 24 home runs finished third in the nation. Listed as a catcher on the SFA website.
