Picks 14-15

14. (442)Josh Dew-RHP-Troy University-Closer for team that made it to the regionals.  Was 7-2 with 10 saves in 27 appearances.  Had 97 Ks in 65 innings.  Has a funky, deceptive arm action, a low-90s fastball and a quality slider. Dew also contributed nine home runs.

15.  (472) Chuckie Fick-RHP-Cal State Northridge-6’5-Was 0-7 with an ERA of 7.11.  Won six games his sophomore year at Northridge but as really struggled this season, going 0-7 with a 7.11 ERA and more walks (34) than strikeouts (26) in 50 2/3 innings. … Is the nephew of Washington Nationals first baseman Robert Fick and the son of Cardinals’ scout Chuck Fick.  His batting average against jumped from .237 his sophomore year to .324 this past year.

I don’t understand the last pick at all.  And are the Cardinals afraid of left-handed pitchers?
